The Lord’s work in Maracay (Evangelism):

The Lord’s work in this city is going well. During these months I have been visiting the contact that I have through the Newspaper. I have some new contacts and I went to give them the Biblical course. I hope and pray some of them have a good attitude to the truth, but most of the time, they only want to receive the Bible Course.

I want that you know, the work concerning evangelism is so slow, I have been trying to do the best I can, but the people in this country have been thinking only in political. When you go to preach the Gospel on the street and I try to give them a tract about the Bible, they accuse me to follow Chavez, and I lost the opportunity to talk about the Gospel. The point is, the people know that the follower of Chavez have been giving on the street information about his “good” government and they confuses me with a follower of Chavez. So, some time I fell frustrating, and I am thinking all the time how to preach the Gospel, in fact, I have been thinking about a new plan. Because is the same situation if you go knocking door by door preaching the Gospel. However, we have the opportunity with the news paper and the radio program. Until now, we have been preaching the Gospel and we are praying and waiting the fruits of this work. But we know that this fruits is going to take time and we need to be patients. However, we are preaching the Truth of the Gospel.

Believe me, it is not nothing easy, but we must trust in the Lord and we do this worthy work. Keep us in yours prayers.

The Lord’s work in Maracay (Edification):

We are still having the class to the men of the local church. We have been studying about “Our responsibility how men of the church” I have been teaching about: How preach in our assemblies. I can see how they have been growing and maturing. Now, the most of the brothers has been teaching and doing a very good service in the assemblies (4 men have been preaching and giving a bible class in this church) this is a very good progress.

Brother Johan Dominguez, Juan Carlos Blanco, Elvis Piplas, Carmelo Blanco and Alonzo Herrera have been teaching and preaching to the assembly every Sunday. I feel so good because they have been having a good attitude to serve the saints and the Lord.

I Finished the lessons “Love one another” according to the book of John. I was teaching about this matter all the month. Also, I have been teaching in the Bible Class about “New Testament church”. We will have very long classes about this topic. But the church has been growing in knowledge and because there are some new members that need to understand the work of the church in this world.

The Lord’s work in San Juan (Evangelism):

About this work, we are using a news paper to offer a free biblical course. We have received two calls and I have been visiting the friends.

The Lord’s work in San Juan (Edification):

The preacher called Anibal Oropeza is helping with the preaching to the church in San Juan. The church is very enthusiasm with the work of our brother Anibal. We give our thankful to the Lord because there are preachers with good wild to do the Lord`s work. We have been studying the book of 1st Peter during the week.

Concerning my writing:

Now, I will be giving to you information about my work writing books. Several brethren have encouraged me to dedicate time to write books and articles about several topics of the Bible. Now, I have my first book, and the church in Maracay helped me to print it and I gave the first edition to the local church in Margarita. Why? Because in this first book you can find topics about: “The work of the local church; Sound doctrine in our teaching; The true worship; Institutionalism and liberalism; what is a local church; love one another” In this month I began to work about the theme: “The music’s worship (no-instrumental music in the assembly) and benevolence to the saints” Let me tell you that, there are very few Hispanic preacher to write Biblical books and articles. For this reason, I began to work in this matter and help to Hispanic churches. I feel so encourage because your love and support allow me the time to dedicate diligently in this worthy work.

Wedding:

My brother Jose Barros married with sister Odaliz Pena in Midland Texas. They invited to go to the wedding and they gave me the privileged to preach in the wedding and brother Wayne Partain had the direction of the vows. I had the opportunity to preach in some churches. One in English and 3 in Spanish.

Final words:

My beloved brethren, my wife and I want to tell you that we always give our thankful to the Lord for your love, sincere concern and support. How you know, this support makes possible to do this worthy work in this country and in some others places around the world. We are so rejoice because we can count with you. Thank you so much and our Lord be blessing your soul.
