Preaching the Good News in Norwalk, Ohio: March 2009

Brethren,

Greetings.

Peace, mercy, and grace be with you all from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spring has come to northern Ohio, even if it is a bit fitful at times. We pray things are well with you.

Working with the Brethren

We have continued to enjoy many opportunities to encourage the brethren, both in assemblies and studies and in more individual events. We have been very encouraged by the growth in the camaraderie of the brethren here.

Lessons, Classes, and Studies

Morning lessons in March focused on Romans 8:12-30, who we are, and the language of Ashdod. We have continued a study of the books of the Bible with the evening lessons, focusing on Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, and Job. As always, the lessons are available in outline and mp3 forms at norwalkchurch.org

The adult Bible class in Revelation is wrapping up and has been a very profitable study for those involved. We have rarely seen such high levels of interest and participation!

Next quarter the adult class will divide by gender; the women will be studying Having a Mary Spirit, and I will be leading the men in a study of Ephesians.

The Ladies' Bible classes have continued.

We are continuing the Love & Respect series with a member of the congregation.

Evangelism

Much of our evangelism has focused on the upcoming spring meeting on April 3-5 on "More About Jesus." We were able to knock about 175 doors in late March in preparation for the meeting, and we have encouraged the members strongly to invite their family, friends, neighbors, and associates to the meeting.

The Bible Correspondence course remains quite active and popular.
